The time has come for me to get a new laptop. My old IBM THinkpad 760ED just isn't cutting it anymore. As I haven't bought one in years, I turn to you, my fellow nutjubs, to assist me. To any of you that have bought laptops recently, where did you get a good deal? Craigslist? Local shops? Other websites? I'm looking to spend AT MOST 400 bucks, and I'm hoping to get the best I can for my money. I've seen some good deals here and there (hell, I got my own laptop a few years back for $20 from some random crackhead on the streets of Atlanta), but was curious for your suggestions.
Thanks!

Here is my suggestion, Watch the office depot ad's, they have a compaq for $499 and it's a nice one, Give it some time and they will probably throw it on sale. It's worth the extra $100 to get a brand new one with tons of power as opposed to a mediocre used/refurb.
Beyond that, Check dell's "outlet" for refurbs... www.fatwallet.com is your friend ;-).... There arent as many crack heads here in ptown, Worth checking craigslist, Feel free to reply with any ones you find there and I know I can help determine if it's a decent buy for the price.
Best of luck in your hunt.
